ENROLMENT INFORMATION

Enrolling at Beaufort Primary School
The Department of Education provides guidance on enrolment through the School Placement Policy Enrolment: Placement Policy | education.vic.gov.au

When looking to enrol at Beaufort Primary School, we recommend that contact is made with the school to arrange a school visit. We encourage parents and students to come along to see the school and ask any questions.
Families residing outside the school zone are still welcome to contact the school to discuss enrolment options and take a tour.
Our school zone is available on  findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.  Beaufort Primary School has limited spaces for enrolment each year and priority is given to students who reside within our school zone and siblings of current enrolments.

Our school manages enrolments using the Department of Education Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.
For more information about our school zone, please contact our school. For answers to frequently asked questions about school zones, visit School zones.

Foundation (Prep) enrolments

All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
For more information about the enrolment timeline, visit: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep).

The school will be advertising open mornings and school tours for perspective parents and students during Term 2. Tours are available upon request at any other time of the year.

To enrol your child at Beaufort Primary School, enrolment packs can be collected from the Kinder (Elizabeth Watkins Early Learning Centre), as part of our transition process, or by collecting a pack from the school office.

Enrolments for our 2026 Prep (Foundation) intake will commence at the beginning of Term 2 and close on 31st July, 2026.

It is important for each child to have a successful and happy transition to school. To assist in achieving this, we have developed a comprehensive transition program that allows kindergarten students the opportunity to learn about our school and our staff before they commence school the following year. Our school-based transition program commences in Term 4.

Other year level enrolments
We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.

Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.

If you are seeking enrolment at other year levels, please contact our school for more information.

It is important for each child to have a successful and happy transition to school. To assist in achieving this, a modified transition program may be established and put in place.

Once completed, the school may have some follow up questions or may seek further clarification on enrolment details provided.

All enrolments must also include an up to date immunisation certificate and birth certificate.
